Hasn’t bee talked about but anyone else thibk he is in serious trouble? He isn’t as versatile as the other three backs on the roster, he doesn’t play special teams. He looked good last PS but when the season got deepnlast year with a poor record he stil didn’t see the field. He seems to be the 4th RB right now. He is PS eligible. Should be interesting but I have him off our 53 man roster right now.

He looked good last night, but was playing with the lowest reserves (ie Lynch).

Couple of catches and runs looked decent, but it says a lot that three RB's were consistently getting reps before he did with the first team.

Henderson is a nice depth back, but doesn't have the upside of some of the others. It might come down to him and David Williams for the PS spot. I doubt we keep 2 RBs on the practice squad.

Thinking we keep 4? Freeman, Booker, Lindsay and Janovich?

I feel like Henderson has the good PS early on, but I feel Elway doesn't trust him after his fumbling issues. Let's not forget the fact that he didn't give him much grub last year later in the year when we had 4 wins on the season and weren't running the ball well. I feel like he fell out of favor throughout the season. Could be practice habits, could be other things. Who knows. Just feel like his stock is down right now in Denver.

I just read a report today about Henderson auditioning himself to other teams.

I think if we cut him like I expect he won't re-sign with our PS anyway. Probably feels he had the great PS last year and he isn't making it work here so may want a fresh start. He probably feels he took a step back with us, and needs to move on to another situation.

I read part of an article that Henderson and Holland are both on other teams radar. Could be trade possibilities.

would rather trade Ray and Booker than Henderson and Holland... due to financial reasons (and draft capital)

Ray's contract is up after this year. Don't care about his finances. Doesn't really matter. We can easily afford him this year. Booker is getting paid as a 4th rd pick and is much more versatile than Henderson. I see no reason to trade these two over the other two for money purposes. If they outplayed them it would be a different story, but not for money purposes.

Trading Ray over Holland makes sense to me as Ray is almost certainly walking after this year and Holland has some upside, especially as a pass rusher. Booker is probably more important with his versatility then Henderson and the most experienced in the RB room. David Williams will get the PS spot over him in my opinion and thus if we can trade him for a little something that is better than letting him walk.

Doubt we have any value in a trade for Ray. Makes more sense to keep him, IMO then to give him away for a 7th rd pick. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Not sure we will get any offers for Henderson. He was a 6th rd pick last year with like 6 NFL carries. RB's are usually log jammed. My guess is he is cut and signed to another teams PS or claimed as an injury replacement, but doubt we get a pick for him.

I think if teams believe Ray is healthy - he does have trade value as pass rushers are at a premium.

Sorry, I worded that incorrectly when I was talking about Ray's trade value. I didn't mean he didn't have "ANY", I meant as I have said in the past that his trade value isn't worth trading him away. I feel we get way less than it is worth to see if he can have a healthy season for us and turn his career around.

Wouldn't he be worth more to have him play a decent number of snaps, and then have him walk as a FA? We'd likely net a better comp pick than in any trades.

Shane Ray is one of my favorite Broncos. I probably like this guy more than his performance and/or time on the field merits but I just do. I would love for the Broncos to find a way to hold onto him next year and beyond.

BINGO. I mean hard to tell how FA will go but I think he isn’t worth trading for what we will get in return right now.
