Fales is gone... Again. DT Brandon Dunn was picked up off bears practice squad and signed to the Texans active roster.
Bears signed to the practice squad: WR Nathan Palmer and DT D'Anthony Smith.

Just saying not to get excited until the bears sign another quarterback to the practice squad. Really cannot see anyone being comfortable or happy with just 2 QB's in our organization when Claussen is one of them.

I went to high school with a David Fales but i doubt he's on anyone's practice squad. Nor was he waived.

I 100% believe Fales should be our 2. I think the kid gets it and one day deserves his shot. Even those on here who do not like him must admit Fales over Clauson. I'm shocked Fox is comfortable with Jimmy.

I agree we don't know on Fales, but what we do know is Clauson is cabbage.

this thread is just an extension of the last thread condemning Fales without allowing him to play in a regular season football game by posters that think he might replace Cutler one day. All some of us want is a chance to backup so the bears can actually see what he does in a game. Maybe the roster spot that can be cleared is Claussens.

A player cannot be moved down to the practice squad without allowing another NFL team to claim him on waivers. Any player can be claimed off any teams NFL practice squad but they need to go to the 53 man roster, like Dunn did with the texans.

Yes... that was kinda the point of me posting this whole thing. Some wanted to anoint Fales as the next best thing after Clausen sucked. The other reason some were clamoring for Fales was simply because he wasn't Cutler. And those anti- Cutler posters used the "let's at least see what he is" comments.
I have nothing against David Fales. He was a decent college QB... and if Cutler was out for a longer time I would have liked to see what he could do over Clausen too, but we have to face it- he's not a long term starting NFL QB. And if any other team thought he was- he would have been claimed over the past year and half that he's been on and off the PS.
