Run defense was finally what we all thought it would be. 3.2 average, no runs over 9 yards.

Lions actually ran a 4 man front at least 75% of the time today and probably a dozen snaps of 5, 6, or 7 man fronts with 5 and 6 down lineman.

The problem arises when you have 1 or 2 of those down lineman that are dropping into zone coverage like Kennard or Tavai or Okwara. They aren't agile enough to flip and turn to cover.

They pretty much stayed away from utilizing him after game 1.

I guess he earned his entire cap hit in that 1st game.

I've seen enough of rubber band armed QB Blough to know that next year he doesn't even deserve a spot of the practice squad.

He's too damn slow to go through his progressions.

He had numerous opportunities to check it down to either a RB or TE and didn't and when he did the ball usually ended up in the turf.

He should've thrown the ball away on that last play before Prater's missed 45 yard FG. It would've been from 32 yards had Blough not been sacked.

He has very limited velocity on throws to attempt to get into tight windows like the last attempt at the end of the game to Thomas.

How did Amani look in coverage?

He wasn't targeted all that much today. Slay was targeted quite a bit because he was on Diggs most of the day.

Oruwariye did give up the 1st TD of the game covering rookie WR Bisi Johnson. The ball was thrown at least 9' high and there wouldn't have been anything Oruwariye could do. It was a great catch by Johnson. He was playing in the slot on this play.

I thought Oruwariye was confused on the play as if he thought he was in zone coverage so, he got a lot read on the play but was still able to catch up to Johnson. He didn't get his head turned around quick enough to realize the ball was coming his way to Johnson.

Tavon Wilson played lights out today when in run support.

He's still a little slow to react when in coverage and gave up 3 easy receptions (1 over the middle and two out on the boundary).
