Man, I had no idea. Kind of rough that Reid would throw him under the bus a bit when he presumably knew that Akers had found out his kid had cancer the day before the game.

I just want to go on the record and say, "Fuck Andy Reid." Not saying he placed blame on Akers, but maybe if the guy ran a more effective offense they would have won a little more. Sure his offenses put up some good numbers, but they can't convert short yardage and goal line situations. The guy is too pass happy. They can have a first and goal from the 3 with one of the best backs in the game in McCoy, and he will get cute and pass it 3 times.

Back to the Akers story though. That's a lot to go through, it's awesome that he has overcome it. The 49ers are turning into a nice place for second chance. Rogers, Akers, hell, even Alex Smith.
