Dave Henderson died

Like him as a player and he meant well as a commentator.

I didn't even realize he needed a kidney transplant in the first place. A very sad set of circumstances led to his death.

Truly sad news, he was a great guy.

Got to meet him during the 4th of july once, he brought his son. Had a great time that day and you could see how much he loved and cared for his son. Hopefully there is something in place for his son to continue living a high quality of life.

My buddy ran into Hendu at El Goucho in Seattle one time. He talked Hendu into talking to me on the phone for a minute. I was in shock when the phone rang and it was my buddy saying: "hold on, I am putting Hendu on"..

I was pretty surprised and do remember telling him my older brother (a big Red Sox fan at the time) was at the ALCS game when he took Donnie Moore deep to win the game. Not sure what else was said as he didn't talk to me for very long.

Pretty damn cool he would do that for a fan bugging him in the cigar room at El Goucho.
