I was never a Darnold fan, but it's amazing how the Jets just keep trading these top 10 picks year after year. MAYBE, you should look at your front office/coaching? I mean even when they hit on someone (Adams) they have to trade that away too LOL.
It's like some kid who is giddy about the NFL draft and "I WANT MORE PICKS!!" is running the show. I mean I could do that. And with that... I must pay homage...
Exactly why I wanted the Bears to go for Darnold over Dalton... We know for sure what Dalton is, but with Darnold there is hope that it was the Jets that sucked and not him.On paper theres not a huge difference between Bridgewater and Darnold however Darnold is the one with a far bigger upside.
These are the kind of deals/chances you take when you dont have a franchise QB. Chances are he wont be the answer but the cost to find out isnt a ton.
Yeah Bears I know are in a spot where they basically have to win this year to save jobs. That makes it dangerous to expect all rational decisions. Dalton maybe is safer for this year but the ceiling is pretty clear.Exactly why I wanted the Bears to go for Darnold over Dalton... Yeah I don't see this a bad deal for the Panthers, especially if they trade Teddy B for a pick or two... They could get a 4th or 5th for him imo... Giving up those picks was worth the risk/reward for Darnold...I don't get how it is a bad trade for the Panthers... in fact I think it is a great trade for them... they get a prrvious top 5 pick QB for cheap...
The jets were probably the ones that made the bad deal... they basically gave him away...
I'm just glad the Bears landed on Dalton in the version of of musical chairs with QB's this offseason before Bridgewater became available.
