Speedy, but tiny receiver. Resulted from a trade with the Eagles:

Bears get:
Mooney at the 173 spot
#227

Eagles get:
#196
#200
#233

I only checked out one website, and they had him rated as a 7th rd/UDFA. Has to be one of those infamous Pace BPA picks.

Trading the rest of our picks for him, makes it even fucking dumber.

It's almost like Pace had somewhere to be tonight. :L

We still have two picks left and they're back-back. #226 & 227

Oh ya, my bad.

Still.

Overall, I've been mostly non-plussed with this draft to this point. A couple of decent picks IMO with Johnson and Gipson. Ok with Kmet, but like others, I'm thinking he could have been had a bit later. Who knows. Let's see what Pace does with those final two picks.

I don't see a problem with the pick. The dude is your blazing speed. Put him on the field to take the top off the defense. That's the only reason we drafted him. He's a Gabriel replacement.

Nagy will want to run a lot of 2 TE too. That means the receivers are mostly going to be Robinson/Miller with Graham moving around inside and out.

Apparently the CBS draft board agrees with you, giving the Bears their only 'A' grade so far in this draft.

#226 & 227 coming soon. OT Alex Taylor and S J.R. Reed are both still on the board. Two good value picks if they're still available when we select.

Its more of " Pace is an idiot".......

Hate this draft......We take a te that was not a pressing need, 7 picks later we go db when we very well couldve had the same player at 50......And not that we shouldve taken Kmet with the 50th,when there was a bigger need at wr.....

Pace sucks........plain and simple....

How was tight end not a need? Quantity doesn't equal quality. Jimmy Graham is the best of the bunch and many people think he's washed up. Demetrius Harris is a skinnier Brandon Manumaleuna. The rest of the guys are ok 3rd stringers at best right now. Kmet is the best TE in this draft for a team that likes to use plenty of 2 tight end sets. It was a solid pick at least, and if Kmet becomes something of a Zach Ertz for us then it'll be an even better pick.

TE is definitely a need. Graham is not enough, and by far the weakest spot on offense last year was at TE.

Whether that warrants the pick? Meh. Probably not, but like I stated earlier, landing the consensus top TE prospect at 43 is not the worst pick ever. It's arguably a steal.

I still would've went with Delpit, and then traded back for Dalton Keene, tho I do like the Jaylon Johnson pick a lot. I think he will be a stud.

Te was not a pressing need.....We really didnt need Kmet at that point......

Imo,wr and db were bigger needs at 43.....Even though we got a db 50,we couldve had a better one at 43 and still got a damn good wr at 50.....

He couldve placed his picks in better places.....

Not sure how to explain it any better........Just not feeling it......Glad you guys are happier about it than I....

But the stats suggest otherwise. TE production last yer was historically shitty.

We could have gotten a safety with that 43 pick, that may have been a more pressing need and/or "better", but we most certainly could not have gotten a better CB.

The most pressing need on this team is by far the offensive line. It's not even close.

Don't tell Bs but I actually agree. My only thought is Bars is a lot better than we know. That's all I have to explain the lack of picks until late.

The guy was supposedly rated much higher than a UDFA. I remember being lucky to get him. Hopefully he's a baller this year cause we definitely need it.

I hear you but the veterans they picked are serviceable, only. Maybe that is an improvement. I'm more thinking Bars is better than we know.
