Nava was DFA's by the Sox yesterday. Any chance the Giants sign him to a minor league contract and put him in Fresno? He is a local kid (went to St Francis in Mt View).

Not a huge move, either way, but I always like to see local kids join the REAL team.

Doubtful. He's 28 and would go to Fresno if signed -- where he'd be in a crowded OF situation. I'd think his path back to the majors would be less cumbersome with another org besides the Giants.
