I don’t even think I have done that.

Just traded 2 players for @Chef99 2nd rounder and Henry has a lot of future value. I would be lucky to get a player as good as Henry with either pick. And TE has been a need for me for awhile.

Ironically, the deal I made that does violate my rule was the deal I made with Treff. Not either of the deals I made today. And that one was agonizing for me.

Just yanking your chain cause your considered such a god here, I can't resist poking you some.:D

It was Alex Smith and a 3rd for a 1st.

At the time Smith was a top 10 QB. I am talking about the dregs of the position and some of the early week dialog.

And always fair to try. But I also said very clearly I wasn’t paying for a 2 week Mahomes replacement for obvious reasons.

You are correct. I forgot about the third coming back.

That was also the year my team sucked. At the time we traded, we both thought you would make the playoffs and I wouldn’t.

Then a couple of my guys like Kamara started going nuts 2nd half.

Another interesting note about how this league has evolved.

I could be wrong, but I thought there were usually a couple starting QBs on the free agent list our first couple years. Now a 1 week starter gets gobbled up in a second.

Definitely not always, I know I got stuck once that first season during byes with my #1 on a bye, my #2 hurt the week before, and I missed the waiver claim in his replacement. Went without a QB that week. Like you, I wasn't willing to bend over and over pay either, but even worse, I hadn't quite come to terms with just how hard it was to get a QB yet, and was still in a 12 team league mindset..I was really stunned by the offers :)

I'm in a 12 team league where QBs are treated like they are gold. Been in the league for 4 years and I'm limping along with Winston, Dalton, Flacco ( Who I hope to drop for Kyle Allen but will most likely lose my claim).
Next year I draft a QB early. It literally takes a starting RB to trade for a QB in this league. Someone wanted to move Carr for a first round pick.

One of those guys I'm just not wanting to actively deal, so I'd have to be overwhelmed to move him, and wouldn't be including him in any counter offers

I would be okay with Winston.

Turns the ball over like no other, but he puts up stats too.

He does OK and I'm doing well in the league. It just boggles my mind the way they value QBs.

Yeah I often times trade my first away, then I tell myself next year I am going to keep it, doesn't always work out that way. You just might trade that pick away before the draft arrives.
Very true...

Let me know a week before you get him. If his arm is going to suddenly fall off, I wanna get ahead of it
I'm going to land him. I'll let you know what it ends up costing.

Barilko made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Matt Breida for Sterling Shepard and a swap of 3rds

Its funny, the moves NFL teams don't make, triggers a rash of moves we make. Think a lot were hoping for something changing to the real status quo, and when it didn't, we changed ours instead. I'm sure it would've been as much, or more, had the trade deadline actually produced more interesting results than Manny Sanders, Sanu, and Drake

I like the Drake trade. I feel it helps my team here in D2

Since I do not do money leagues anymore, to me it doesn't matter how many other leagues there are I still refer to the KOTF and BATG leagues as my main league. It is also the league I want to win in the most.
