"In August, Murphy spoke with Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle and expressed frustration with the fact that his injury was actually herniated disk which was misdiagnosed. Even with the correct diagnosis, things didn’t get better, as a clinic recommended by the team initially treated the wrong disk."

This I was not aware of. I wondered why there was no chatter on him seemingly all season. Was the clinic both the ones who misdiagnosed his injury and treated the wrong disk or was the misdiagnosis from somewhere else?

Nick Lowery’s Clark Kent might have something to add to this conversation…

Man, I was enjoying Posey's lack of waiver wire claims and we get two today. Justin Dean really doesn't make sense considering his age and numbers in the minors. Really?

As I think more on Black's dfa, how quickly did that star go dim. Doesn't seem that long ago he was tearing it up in AAA, shredding opposing batters at the plate, and pushing for some big league action. Once he got up he seemed to fall apart and never quite got it back together in AAA. Of course, his numbers in AAA weren't that bad this year, every similar to Trevor McDonald's, but I guess this is how the career of fringe guys go.
