What a surprise that the SEC/Big Ten are against this. I went to a Big Ten school but it's basically fact that these two conferences are the enemy of college sports. All they've done is try to ruin football, they're trying to ruin March Madness, and of course they're against attempts to fix some things. The people running these conferences don't even seem to like sports.
The SEC and Big Ten aren’t against it, Fox and ESPN are.

It seems to me that the ACC, B1G and SEC already are super leagues.
The reference may be to two of those leagues joining together and then adding some, possibly being at 35-40 teams when it’s all said and done.

Somebody within the NCAA, or at least their search firm, made a shrewd call in hiring Charlie Baker after Emmert retired. Realizing the government would have to step into the college sports quagmire sooner than later, they nabbed a consummate politician.

Baker had no background in college athletics. He was a popular, two term Republican governor of Massachusetts. You don't think that guy knows how to deal with a multi factional, highly politicized environment? Not sure what he's accomplished yet, if anything.
