The Ravens didn't know the extent of the degenerative issues. Bone on bone in a knee simply isn't good for anyone's future. The Ravens specifically said it wasn't his short-term prognosis. They weren't trading two first round draft picks for two years of a ticking time bomb in Crosby.
I'll welcome him back because the Ryan McFadden story on ESPN I referenced indicated it was more of buyer remorse.

I truly wish Crosby the best. I fear that the Raiders cut his career short. He should not have been playing on that knee. He should have been shut down and had the meniscus surgery immediately. He would not have the stress damage to the cartilage and bone had they done so.

I'm good.....a lot of pundits are saying we won the FA offseason and that was before Maxx was coming back.

Now, I'm truly excited about next season and that's not counting what we're about to do in the draft next month.

Year 2 under Kubiak could be very interesting.

Let me preface this with I am happy Maxx is still with the Raiders.

However, the Ravens knew (like most teams) he wouldn't pass a physical when they did it......he just got off crutches like a week or 2 before the trade. But, the season isn't starting anytime soon.....not till September. By then he'll be ready as his doctor said. He's making great progress.
From the article:

The consensus was that Crosby would be able to play in 2026. The Ravens' concern centered on the uncertainty of Crosby's durability after a couple of seasons in Baltimore because of a degenerative issue in his knee, a source told ESPN.

That actually makes a lot of sense and sounds like the actual reason they backed out of the deal. Basically sounds like Crosby will be fine for 2026 it's what happens afterwards with a knee with a degenerative issue. Obviously if you are trading mega capitol for Crosby you want him to be able to play at a high level for years not just for 2026.

Haha..."Sources with the Raiders and those close to Crosby are skeptical...".

Every team shares information. It doesn't mean they have a full understanding. Why do you think teams have every deal contingent upon a physical and their own doctors/paid independent doctors (consultants) having input? Why would teams incur that expense?

What happened with the 3-year / $72.75mil contract the Raiders agreed to with Jimmy Garoppolo in 2023???

Um, JImmy G played for the Raiders 1 season when McDumbass wanted to bring him in.....he showed he was washed, got benched when McDumbass was fired and was subsequently released after the season.

So you don't know what happened as it relates to this situation? Okay.

Look...best of luck. You've certainly had it pretty darn rough as a fan with that ownership/front office.

Interesting that McVay wanted him then. Washed vs poor supporting cast...

Jimmy Garprolrrorlrol was never that great. I dunno why everyone continues to think this guy is relevant. He's 34 now and had one DECENT season like 7 years ago... and then proceeded to blow ass in the playoffs.

Hell, if they just decided why not get Hendrickson and not give up premium picks so be it. want to get rid of this happening get rid of that absurd "legal tampering" period.
