There's no damage control needed. Sure there were some people who jumped to conclusions (there always is), but most reputable people did not. The Ravens handled things well and did not start slinging mud when they could have. Everything comes out in the end.

At the end of the day...one of these two front offices have consistently been considered one of the most respected front offices in the league for the last 25 years and the other one is the Raiders.

If the Ravens got their hands on that, Lamar would only have to lift a finger. This should be a wakeup call to the AFC North, Chiefs, and Bills regarding how dirty the Ravens try to get.

Pressures is nice, but I'd like to see his sack totals higher. At some point ya gotta 'hit home'. Kind of an issue Derick Hall has a bit with Seattle. Gets a lot of pressure, but doesn't have a high rate of getting the wrap up.

And some QBs handle pressure well. Only the sack matters.

Also - pressures is kind of subjective. PFF has their own metric, PFR has their own metric, NFL.com has kind of a weird system, ESPN doesn't even track it to my knowledge, etc. Point being, I don't even know where that stat is from in the tweet lol, and it's easy to twist it however to fit a narrative (so many diff. sources that aren't consistent). It's why sacks, FF, and QB hits (generally), are still king. It's a universal and easy to understand metric.

The QB can just throw it away and prevent the sack and many sacks are due to someone else's pressure that leads to a scramble or stepping up, but the play is still often dead and sometimes the QB throws it into a turnover in the face of pressure. It's no coincidence that the term you hear most is to get pressure on the QB. Define it how you want, but that is just about the top goal on that side of the football. Also, it's no coincidence that 3 of the best and highest paid players in the NFL are atop that list.

No. Of course they "stated" (after the fact) we always wanted to go after both of them. But only landed one of them.
