From the Ox Box I thought the Kings played a solid game. Not outstanding by any means. That gaff by Muzzin had me yelling for Sutter to bench him. For me it wasn't so much the turnover at his own blue line but the terrible defense getting back. Hanzel just kept him at bay like he was a 5'4" 150 lbs weakling. Skated right through him in on the goal and actually got a fortunate bounce off the shaft of his stick to beat Quick over the shoulder.
Then the Coyotes went ahead on that flukey double deflection shot over the shoulder (again) but the Kings stuck with it and Quick was Quick the rest of the way. I was never worried after the Kings tied it up. They were just playing that much better than Arizona. And with the Coyotes being the Coyotes I didn't see any way the Kings were going to let themselves lose that game. For once this season I had faith. After that comeback against St Louis how could you ever doubt this team.
I saw the Kings called up Schultz to take Regehr's spot on the roster but I'm not sure how soon he'll get in the lineup. McBain had a nice quiet defensive game. Solid in his own end and even got a pair of assists. I was thinking stick him in for Muzzin but then Jake kind of redeemed himself after sitting out a shift with solid defensive play the rest of the game. I'm thinking he had a talking to on the bench. Good win over a team they should beat. Especially at home. Oh and Shane Doan is a JERK!!!
