Flames vs. Music City, USA. Predators are out of the gate quick to start this season and always play the Flames tough. Flames have alternated between dismal and okay in each of their four games so far this year.

This is the start of three games in four nights for Calgary, they play Thursday in Detroit and Friday in Columbus. Henrik Karlsson will likely get a start either against the Red Wings or the Blue Jackets (that's my bet).

Go Flames Go!

Bourque is in the lineup tonight (tweet from Calgary Herald writer Vicki Hall)

heraldvickihall Vicki Hall Bourque says he is playing tonight. Looks like he is on line with Glencross and Backlund

Tanguay - Stajan - Iginla
Hagman - Jokinen - Morrison
Glencross - Backlund - Bourque

Not a bad looking top 3 lines...

It's 22 bad that 2tootoo2 prefers 2 post on the other board. He's a very good poster, oh well, 2 each his own.

Yup, and looking a helluva lot better than the Rags these days (while spending considerably less on salaries).

Steve Sullivan is off to a good start. The defense looks solid despite the loss of Hamhuis. The Rook in goal is HUGE & he's been great for the Preds. Barry Trotz is probably the most underrated coach in the league. He certainly gets the most out of his players.

The Flames just demoted "THE JOKE" to the 2nd line. Moving Stajan up to play with Iginla. Here's hoping it sparks the offense a bit. The Flames need all the goals they can get right now.

You said it, brother - I know Stajan is not a #1 centre, but he seems to work well with Iggy and Tanguay. Brendan Morrison has worked well with Euros in the past, well he's got two Finns on his line now.

So which one of the Finns has the best chance to come anywhere near as good as Naslund was, or is it a lost cause to even bring up the possibility?

Lindback has been great for Nashville so far. I believe Rinne will be in net tonight though.

I don't think either Hagman or Jokinen will ever be confused with Markus Naslund, but they can still contribute around 25 goals and 60 points (that's each hopefully and not combined) - lol

I think the one thing that surprises me about the Flames right now is Morrison. Nobody could have imagined he'd be on the 2nd line out of camp.

Yeah, unfortunately I think it could be more of an indication that Mikael Backlund isn't stepping up to the plate as hoped.
