Rams have had a ton of high picks here recently.

2012...the year of the big trade...they traded with DAL to move down to #14 and collected the #45 spot (the 45th slot they again traded to CHI for #50, and #150 a 5th rd pick....all told they had 6 of the top 100 players from that draft.

2013...in round 1, they moved up from 16 to 8 trading with the Bills...they ended up dealing their 22nd pick (from WAS) to ATL and moved down. This draft they got 4 of the top 100 players and got the 113th pick.

2014...they are currently lining up for a top 10 pick on their own merit and WAS is kicking in with a top 5.

The point to all of this, STL will have probably 15 to 18 very young players...granted, the '12 picks should be starting to perform now, but how do you compete with so many young players?

Instead of drafting a QB to play right away...maybe they should go after a guy like Mettenberger from LSU (probably the 4th or 5th QB off the board)...and go after a QB like Cutler, or Palmer, to bridge the gap for 2014.

Manziel could be in the mold of a Drew Brees if he recognizes very quickly that, he's not going to out run anybody at this level. He's not 1st round material imo, but he will probably go in a back half of the 1st round.

Sorry when I said ''we'' that was supposed to be the Rams lol When I introduced myself to the forum I made it clear that I am both a Rams/Falcons fan ever since I was little. I get ripped all the time by people for having a split fan-hood, but I have since i've been watching football.

So for the Falcons, keep Matty Ice, still a franchise QB. Rams need to dump Bradford and being as I am a huge Johnny Football supporter, as you can see from my avatar, I would love for the Rams to draft him.

Gotcha...I'm somewhat the same...I've been following the Steelers since I was a kid...some 40+ yrs now, but living in ATL the last 18 yrs...hard not to follow the Falcons if you're a NFL fan.

Interesting...my best golf buddy is from NY (Queens) and grew up a Jets fans, but now a huge Falcons fans, but you can tell the Jets are still in his blood.

Bradford..idk to be honest...the last of the mammouth #1 overall contracts, but he's got what I would call a cut friendly contract remaining...high base salary, low bonus for the next 2 years. At the same time I wonder what his trade value might be...I know they can't get a 1st rounder for him, but a second, I would think a few teams would take notice.
