Correa NOW BACK With The Twins...Pending a Physical

Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Twins and free agent shortstop Carlos Correa are finalizing a six-year, $200 million contract.​

Passan adds that Correa's agreement with the Twins, which is pending a physical, includes a vesting option for four additional seasons, which would escalate the total value of the contract to $270 million. The 28-year-old superstar shortstop is heading back to Minnesota, where he batted .291/.366/.467 with 22 home runs across 590 plate appearances last season, after long-term agreements with the Giants and Mets fell through earlier this offseason due to medical concerns with his surgically-repaired right ankle. The saga appears to finally be reaching it's conclusion. The fantasy ramifications are wide-ranging, but the biggest development is that Eduardo Escobar will remain the Mets' starting third baseman and Brett Baty has a much cleared path to regular at-bats. Meanwhile, Twins top prospect Royce Lewis will likely shift to the outfield full-time this season once he returns from last year's surgery to repair a torn ACL.

I’m confused on the pending physical thing now. He has failed two, now the team that gave him a physical to end the season has to give him another one?

They said Twins have ok's the ankle injury. Pending physical is for any other possible issue. I thought the same originally.
