Bell would really shore up that secondary.

He's a better running back already . Not as good in the pass game but for eleventy billion dollars less I think it'll be ok

He's certainly better than 2017 Bell and I don't think anyone can say they'd be better off with Bell moving forward considering age, wear and Bell's just overall bad attitude.

I wouldn't discount Conner in the passing game either. Not at Bell's level but night and day better than last year.

Uh, they smacked around the Browns and won.

Pitt is one franchise that won't bow down to the demands of a player.

Traditionally this works, too. Rod Woodson is the only player I can think of off hand where it was a clear mistake letting him go. I guess you could throw Emmanuel Sanders in there too but to a lesser degree.

Reminds me of the Mike Wallace situation where they got roasted for not paying him (they ended up giving Brown the contract they offered to Wallace) and we all saw how that worked out.

As a runner? Sure.

Overall? No.

But, I understand why Pitt won't bow down to him.
It wasn't 100 percent serious, but I do think Conner has to be the guy moving forward regardless of what Bell does.

Wallace had his best seasons in Pittsburgh in 2010 and 2011.

Conner will hold out next year demanding a Bell type contract.
