Hell. I think this word is worth a thread. Shit, how many players are currently out with some type of concussion? Add Ottawa's top scorer to that list. Furthermore, what is it with this shit colliding with your own teammate? Thats what's happening. I thought Ovi and Semin were victims from last night. I guess they are okay. It seems like today's players are made of glass. I know the game is different now. It's just ridiculous and very scary. I just read Schenn is skating full practice now. Great news, we need him.

i have always thought that the gear is the most to blame for the increase in concussions. especially in football. in hockey they need to be protected from the puck so its a tough call.

I just cannot recall any season In the past being like this season. It just seems that players on the same team are causing majority of these injuries. Very strange. I'll use Lindros for example, he didn't collide with his teammates. It was a player from opposing teams with open ice hits. I know the game is faster, but is the communication lacking? Just curious.

I really believe the league and medical staff are just being more precautious and players are more aware of what defines a concussion. Before, players would just suck it up and continue playing. Now, they are being more safe with more knowledge.

This new age concussion Bullshit is just that, the league sent out Memo's saying head injuries would be treated differently and teams are adhering to it to a tee.. Most of these things are just precautionary, I'm sure there is a timeline thing each player must go through before getting back to the ice..

Both of these guys are on my fantasy league. Pisses me off. I wish both a healthy recovery. Skinner is a huge loss. Carolina is heading downward more so now. I believe these guys collided into one another.
