Here's an honest question.
Lets say AJ Green has had enough of Cincinnati and chooses to leave this spring via free agency. Given that he hasn't played at all this year and didn't play an entire season last year, his numbers are at an all-time low. What would the formula give the Bengals for a comp pick? 6th rounder at best? And that's assuming the Bengals don't sign any free agents.
Basically, by not moving AJ at the trade deadline, the Bengals have decided to rent an injured former star for 8 games in a meaningless season. Who-Dey!
