Link here to all cuts by team.

Cuts to 53: WR Brenton Bersin, OL Garrett Chisolm, QB Jimmy Clausen, CB Drayton Florence, DT Sione Fua, LB Doug Hogue, TE Zach Pianalto, RB Tauren Poole

Clausen -> Bust
Florence -> FA many thought was a lock for starter. Oh, well.
Fua -> Epic Disappointment, after a lot of hype how we'd gotten a steal with him in R3.
Chisolm -> High character guy who went through a lot (both parents died). Walked on and was a great gamecock, but injured his knee in the bowl game his senior year. Wish him the best.
Poole -> good back who looked just fine in preseason (better than Kenjon Barner, tbh). But not enough room on the roster.

Among the other teams, surprised to see Dwyer cut from the Stillers.

Mason Brodine actually appears to be a quality defensive lineman. I would not be surprised if that guy got picked up and did well for someone else.

I didn't like that we released Dan Carpenter, I feel like hes a better kicker than Folk.

Greg McElroy was let go, he has a weak arm and Matt Simms played really well and was more impressive than Greg ever was.

I was surprised that they released Antonio Garay, but we are deep on the DL.

Others haven't been a surprise.

Antoine Winfield and Micheal Robinson where the shockers. However seeing that it appears that Winfield is going to retire you got to think that his time had finally arrived. Robinson, it is reported, is not going to be ready to go, come the regular season and I still think when he gets healthy that the Seahawks resign him to a more team friendly contract.

I'm a bit surprised by my teams final 53, but it will look much different by week 1. They will release some more guys and make some waiver claims.

waived/injured David Gettis - WR had a great camp and might have played into the #3 WR but has been plagued by injuries since his 2nd season

Clausen QB - bust, was given a chance to do something in the preseason but couldn't

Robert Lester S - UDFA, lots of Panther fans (myself included) were very happy that we got him but did very little in preseason

Keeping 5 WR and 4 TE was a surprise, thought it would be 6 and 3

I was surprised Drake Nevis got cut by the Colts and they kept Ricardo Matthews. Hughes and Chapman were obvious keepers that will likely move into starting roles over the next couple of seasons.

I was amused that the Colts kept "Mr. Irrelevant" Justice Cunningham even though I predicted he would make the team when he was drafted. Colby Fleenor was cut instead. Number two draft pick with size and speed, but a real headcase. My cousin aptly pointed out that the problem was not his hands, but the fact that his asshole puckered when he was about to get hit. Shame.

I certainly expect Grigson to make some more roster moves as he sifts through the players that are available. A few guys have been suggested as candidates for the practice squad that the Colts cut, but who knows until they finish it?

The Brian Jennings cut was a big surprise for me...I wouldn't have guessed that one at all.

I know it is Coby Fleener, btw, and not Colby Fleenor. I had considered some swiss cheese and jokes about a local business called Fleenor's, but the kid has been cut. He seems like a very nice young man and I am sure this is a huge disappointment for him Even though it might bother me a bit to see him do well for another team, he does have tremendous potential if he can lose the alligator arms. Plus, I suspect Andrew is sad for his friend and longtime teammate. Tough time of the year for a lot of kids.

not too many surprises on the cutdown, but lots of changing faces for the Raiders, as expected

couple rookies starting

G Lucas Nix

LB Sio Moore

some new veteran starters

DE Jason Hunter

DT Pat Sims

DT Vance Walker

CB Mike Jenkins

and apparently

2 good punters

Kluwe and King

Panthers just signed Quintin Mikell S, 10 year vet, should be an upgrade from what we had.

Suprised the Skins kept Pat White as a #4 qb and cut Chase Minifield....He has played very well ....was playing great last year before the knee injury........

Im thinking they kept White to simulate the left handed Vick this week, and after this week he will be gone.....

Skins did sign Minifield to their PS though

Most notable was Dwyer whom I think will get picked up by another team...I think Redman is looked at as the better short yardage back of the two, but neither were feature RBs...Once they drafted Bell in the 2nd round Dwyer chances of making the team went down hill fast.

Terry Hawthorne, CB 5th rd pick...Raw technique wise, but good size, speed...I thought he would make the team as a ST player.

The only cut that truly surprised me was Mesko. He has been one of the better punters in the league and I think that might come back to bite them in the butt.

Only ones I dont really agree with was Da'Rick Rodgers Keith Pough and Kip Edwards

Rodgers has a lot of potential and we should have at least tried to get him on the practice squad.

Pough I ddint really get much of a chance to show what can be done again I would have at least tried to get him on the practice squad

Kip Edwards is the one I really dont agree with he played pretty we especially in the last game we need CB help with Gilmore injured but he is cut and then we just end up claiming someone else. So i didnt understand that move

Former TN Vol...I really thought he had a good shot to make it in the NFL after his troubles @ TN and going to a small school and kept his nose clean...in the end the knock I heard was he's not fast enough, doesn't run great routes.

From all accounts he did well in practice but just couldnt get it going on the field during the games. So he has a lot of potential that and he was a model citizen too. So I hope he gets picked up.
