Something tells me that his time at Indy is coming to an early end.

What a bust he has turned out to be. He`ll get a shot with another team. Maybe a new location will help?

The day of the draft – long hours before Richardson was assured of going to the Browns – the greatest running back of all time delivered a stinging commentary on Richardson on the Scott Van Pelt Show on ESPN Radio.

“I think he’s ordinary,” Brown said on April 26.

He's less than ordinary. I do not think I have seen as big of a bust as him. I'm also not sure I have seen a runningback perform as badly as he has.

It's a mystery. He was a beast in college and I expected him to do better than Ingram and Lacy and he ends up being so much worse somehow.

Its upstairs. The guy runs with no patience, which should tell you that he doesnt understand the blocking schemes.

At the immediate time of the trade, I thought the Colts had made just the move that they needed, even tho he'd yet to prove much.

He was an immediate bust tho. Hasn't done anything.

Kijana carter may have been a bigger bust at running back. Was huge at penn state drafted high now I'm not even sure if I'm spelling his name right

Yeah, I guess Richardson had an okay rookie year, but I'm not sure he could average 3 yards a carry in peewee football. It's maddening to watch. There's probably bigger busts at running back. Rahsaan Salaam is another one that comes to mind.

Cadillac Williams seemed to flame out pretty fast, not as big of a bust as Ronnie Brown(who was drafted 2nd Overall) but I'd still consider him one. Neither one has terrible numbers but to be selected in the Top 5 and put up lousy numbers is bust worthy to me.

Kijana gets a mulligan. He blew out his knee like right away.

Richardson doesn't have that as an excuse.

cant fix stupid:suds:

Trent Richardson - RB - Colts
Updating a previous item, Trent Richardson missed the Colts' Saturday morning walkthrough and wasn't allowed to travel with the team to New England.
The Colts left him at home in Indianapolis instead of bringing him to New England for the AFC title game. He'll be inactive for the second consecutive game. It's not a good combination to suck at football and miss team meetings ahead of the biggest game of the season. T-Rich will get to watch the game from his couch like the rest of us. Zurlon Tipton will back up workhorse Boom Herron.

speaking of 1st round busts:suds:

OK, this is admittedly a rather obscure choice, but I wonder how many football fans know the significance of Jay Berwanger and what he means to the history of the league and the NFL draft.

The draft began in 1936. The very first player ever drafted in the history of the NFL was Berwanger. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles. Berwanger had just won the Heisman Trophy as a running back and was considered a "sure thing" to become a star in the NFL.

The Eagles were surprised to learn that Berwanger demanded a salary of $1,000.00 per game (we are talking 1936, after all), so the Eagles traded him to the Chicago Bears. Now the property of the Bears, Berwanger and owner George Halas couldn't work out a salary figure that satisfied both parties, so Berwanger never played in a single NFL game despite being the very first player drafted by the league.

No matter how you slice this one, the Eagles would have to consider Berwanger a bust.
