Fired after 6 seasons and less than a day after the Buffaloes dropped a 30-7 game at home vs. Utah.
Coach Mac led the Buffs to the PAC 12 title game in 2016, but wasn't able to sustain success since. For the 2nd straight year, Colorado came out of the gates hot, but couldn't win a game once the in-conference schedule kicked in.
Colorado will not allow MacIntyre finish out the season, which leads me to believe they really were peeved by his post-game attitude and comments about having the opportunity to, "leave for three other jobs", since taking over at Colorado.
MacIntyre was 30-44 during his time at Colorado and should land on his feet, with another head job elsewhere. In the meantime, Colorado needs to beat Cal in order to make bowl eligibility. An interim head coach has yet to be named.
Early names being kicked around as next Buffs head coach: Bryan Harsin, Mark Helfrich, Jeff Tedford, Mike Webb, and Mike Norvell.
