Fernando Mendoza returning to his hometown Miami to play the Hurricanes for the National Championship is straight out of a Hollywood script:- Mendoza grew up a mile from Miami's campus.- Mendoza won a state championship at Miami's Columbus High, the alma mater of Mario Cristobal (Mendoza's dad and Cristobal were HS teammates in the late 80s).- Mendoza's mother played college tennis at Miami- Mendoza dreamed of becoming Miami's QB, but Manny Diaz's staff was hesitant to even offer a walk-on spot.- Mendoza considered Miami while in the transfer portal last offseason before choosing Indiana instead.

Indiana isn't perfect in pass pro and Miami has a front 7 that can wreak havoc

Meh. Still think Ohio State is better than Miami. They simply played their worst game at the wrong time.

Canes are on a roll. Could spring the upset. I think Indiana is their cure though. Smart physical football is the enemy of teams like Miami. Just need to withstand their early and likely push, and when the game is no longer all emotion Indiana will conquer.

OSU didn't play well because Miami whipped their ass on both lines of scrimmage IMO...

Ohio State got punched in the face and didn't get back up. They got back up late, but it was too late.
