In the first two-plus weeks of college football 2018, here are some of the more noticeable FBS/FCS encounters:

Georgia St. (SBC) 24-20 over Kennesaw St. (Big South)
Louisiana-Monroe (SBC) 34-31 over Southeast Louisiana (SLC)

Teams that lost to an FCS team:

Kansas (B-12) 23-26 (OT) to Nicholls St. (SLC)
Temple (AAC) 17-19 to Villanova (CAA)
East Carolina (AAC) 23-28 to North Carolina A&T (MEAC)
San Jose St. (MWC) 38-44 to UC-Davis (Big Sky)
Western Kentucky (CUSA) 28-31 to Maine (CAA)
UTEP (CUSA) 10-30 to Northern Arizona (Big Sky)

Teams that lost to a team that was beaten by an FCS team:

North Carolina (ACC) 19-41 to East Carolina (AAC)

Did I miss anyone?

FSU did win late, but won by more than one score.

I knew I had missed somebody!

Teams that barely beat an FCS team:

Kansas St. (B-12) 27-24 over South Dakota (MVFC)
One could say Ohio U Howard was more than one score. (2 FGs) to dress it up.Some say FSU won by double digits.I would hardly call 10 pts double digits. But that doesn't change the fact FSU/Samford was a close call.

If you watched the game FSU was down 5 late in the game. With Samfords top defensive player ejected for targeting earlier.FSU went ahead following a close call on fumble that could have killed the drive.,Followed by another questionable penalty on Samford. That extend the TD drive to put FSU ahead. The pick 6 was after a missed call that was more legit than the Samford penalty. While Samford was driving. Definitely a close call.

Then again I would say anyone who barely gets by an FCS minor league team is a close call regardless.I cant justify the FBS FCS games
