Any Browns fan will never believe it until he pulls his head out of his ass
I've defended him in some instances but agree wont believe he's a good owner until they win. what I do believe is IF he finds the right FO/coach he will sit back, write the checks and let them do their jobs. Can only he hope he has found those guys.

Idea he's cheap, though, as many of his critics have said, is absurd.

I'll give ya good...because he definitely improved. That in bold was key.

Better? yeah...I'm more in the maybe line.

I think he was with a stud QB in Matt Ryan and an OFC targeting the TE nearly 100 times...on CLE with two stud WRs and a QB whose not all the way there yet.

Glad to see him cash the bigger checks, but I'm not expecting Hooper to go next level in CLE. He will be what he was in ATL to me...a good weapon.
with all the weapons his numbers should definitely go down.

I agree with this. He's probably not Kelce or Ertz, maybe near top of next level. His first few seasons no better than Njoku, but he did have a very nice 4th season and definitely a better pass catcher.

Probably not ....is fair I guess...having seen pretty much every game he played in ATL...he's not of that (Kelce/Ertz) elk.

The Falcons never even made him an offer which he was not all that happy about...not because they didn't want to keep him, but the writing was on the wall...he was the best FA TE out there in a fairly weak FA TE market and not one they wanted to invest that kind of money in...not that they had it to spend anyway.

I agree he's a better pass catcher than Njoku...even though imo the upside favors Njoku if he can stay healthy.

It really depends on how coach Wiz wants to use his TEs, but I would find it hard for him to get 100 targets in CLE this season (w/ no OTAs, etc) unless he bonds with Mayfield very quickly.

And to tell you the truth...100 targets might not be the best thing. If that happens either OBJ or Landry, other guys aren't getting targeted enough or they producing a lower number of targets lol. Should be interesting.

I agree with this...both WR1/2 should be well over 100 targets each....WR3...50-60 at least, TE1 70-80 targets maybe.

Plus...ATL didn't have a RB the caliber of Chubb...so…in theory Baker probably won't drop back as much as Ryan did last yr(for Browns fans that should be welcome)

Yeah, I don't see that either. Could see maybe 50-60 catches on 60-80 targets at most. and that would be fine IMO.

agree....could also mean they are passing more because they are behind and cannot run as much. Guessing that was the case in ATL last year.

also have Hunt entire year (unless he does something dumb again). I would think he might catch 30-50 passes.

It won't look that great on paper for the highest paid TE in the game, but fans with real knowledge of how NFL games are or should be played probably won't have an issue with that kind of production from Hooper....the money is just the money.

Now...when Baker is reupped and his cap hit is $28-30+ mil per...then production/salary will mean a lot more.
