I moved from Michigan to Georgia 15 years ago, so I’ve really only started paying attention to Clemson since moving here in 2008. It seems they have been fortunate to have two of the best college QB’s of the past 20 years, back to back. Before those QB's and now after them, they seem to be just a pretty good program. On top of that, it has helped they play in a conference where the two most historic programs over the past 20+ years (FSU and Miami) have had a pretty bad 5-6 year run.
Is Clemson's success in the 2010's more a product of having top talent at QB more than coaching? I'm not discounting Dabo and his team entirely, but do they need to have a top 15 NFL draft pick at QB to be truly successful? Last night was a pretty bad loss.
