I agree. However, with all do respect, it should be up to Pronger to surrender the "C" and besides we have plenty of leadership on the team, do we need to rush to give the "C" out to Gitoux or whomever?

Make no mistake about it, this was a team effort this afternoon to get the win. Look who else can play defense! Not only was it a statement game as far as our team defense/goaltending are concerned, Claude Giroux put us all on his shoulders and willed the Flyers to victory from the opening shift on throughout the entire game.

I love the hit by Giroux on Crosby at the opening face-off. Dude has tons of heart and it does show and it wears on his teammates to follow his lead. I have no problem with Giroux being the captain. He plays like a true captain should. The offseason should tell us a lot about Prongs status.

Roo came out with the intention to spark the team early today, and was great all season. They said the 14 points was the most ever for a Flyer in a playoff series.

G is the leader of this team, no questions asked. they go as he goes. has everything you want in a hockey player.. skill, heart, intensity, grit, love it all. with that being said, the "C" is just that..its a letter on a jersey. you don't need the letter on your jersey to lead. with that being said, i think i'd give it to G next after prongs.

Like you said, it's just a friggin letter. He is officially an elite player in this league. I think he was last season in the making. Now he is in the tops with Sid, Ovi, Malkin, and some others. This guy is just a classy dude. Glad he is on our side.
