Dude, its college, they don't get paid to put their bodies on the line like they do in the NFL. I would completely agree if they were paid and considered employees as they are in the NFL, but they are not. So its not the same. NFL owners know and understand this. I promise you, no one will look at any of the se players in any different view due to this. In fact, several NFL players even opted out, I don't see them getting benched or displaced from work because of it, why... because it would be illegal.
Without college football how does the NFL know about these guys, high school ball? College football gives these guys a stage to perform on, a place to showcase their skills for future NFL employment.
So just how would a college pay players, these teams have 80 and more athletes out there so only starters get paid? if injured they don't? QB's make more? this would never work. Players.....why is he making more than me? It just wouldn't work.
You can do whatever you want as a MMER, tennis player, golfer, boxer, but when you play a team sport you have too many others relying on you, you can;t just walk away. You have an obligation to the school, the coachs and your teammates. And college football is a real big $$$$$$ deal.
