He got shit on for the Khalil Mack schtick, but that was always pretty clearly the correct move and it's paying dividends right now.
Yeah he received a lot of push back and criticism on a few of those trades he made two years ago but he definitely has his guys and they're turning the corner...

I give Carr a lot of that credit too. We give coaches way to much credit, but an elite or very good QB makes the difference imo

Carr stepping up is absolutely the big difference with the team imo. Honestly not ridiculously impressed with the moves they've made the past few seasons but they've done enough to give Carr a chance.

I really do feel this was a game Mahomes put the team on his back. He had to move the ball the hard way for the most part and had to make some crazy throws to just stay on schedule. The stats aren't super glitzy per throw, but watching the game was super impressive.

I thought it was the same with Carr. Carr made quite a few plays out of very little.

Carr has really stepped up and played fantastic for sure but I think in this case, maybe Gruden does deserve a lot of credit. Not arm talent or x's and O's so much as giving Derek confidence and getting his head in the right space. Bad coaching really almost ruined Carr for a spell there, imo.

I think it's safe to say these two teams are pretty evenly matched and this rivalry when that's the case is great for the league and a helluva lot of fun to watch.
