Probably my new favorite player especially if he can stay healthy. I can get a little biased but did anyone else think he held his own on the head to head with Beast mode. Of course Collinsworth talked like Lynch abused him. I didn't see it that way.

i thought he held up fine too on that play. It wasn't like Lynch ran him over. Even though he went down himself, he clearly bounced Lynch out of bounds

I like Lewis too, but I just think Chido is going to be special. He kind of reminds me of a Peanut Tillman/ Chris McCallister type.

While he may have held up fine, I do not want to see Chido take many of those kinds of collisions. That was violent, and I think we know who got the worst of it.

Chido is a player for sure.

On a separate note, I have always been amazed with Marshawn Lynch's balance on the football field. That dude has to be the love child of the Incredible Hulk and a ballet dancer.

I think that is part of Awuzies game. He is physical. As far as Lynch - he looked really quick the other night. He had some burst. What an idiot though. If that replay comes back and shows Carr is out of bounds or his knee was down - the Raiders have the ball - 1st and goal at the 17.

Shit, I never thought about that. Imagine they got the ball back and then missed the FG?
Marshawn was never one to be accused for overthinking things, that's for sure

Chidobe Awuzie wasn't going to act like 'sucker' on Marshawn Lynch tackle

"Real ball players, when the play snaps, you just do your job," Awuzie said. "I'm not going to make a business decision or do anything like that; I'm going to do my job and that was to stop him where I hit him and make sure he didn't get any more yards, and I think I did a pretty good job of that. If you're on that football field, you should be able to do everything, you should want to do everything, love to do everything. That's all part of it. People who really love football, that's the type of plays you're going to get. They ain't going to make no business decision.”

This guy is a keeper. Hopefully he stays healthy going forward because he stands out on the football field.

As good as Awuzie has been, so far Lewis has still been even more impressive. Will be fun to see what these guys can accomplish if they keep growing

Agreed. Don't forget Woods, he has been great for a 6th (or 5th?) round pick. I think these three guys Lewis, Awuzie and Woods can anchor this secondary going forward.

Awuzie hasn't played near the snaps Lewis has but then again....Lewis came in during the SF game and he hadn't played hardly any at all due to injuries....add in the way Woods has played lately.

Finally this team addressed the dbackfield. I'd add a safety early this coming draft and start to feel pretty good about the future

Woods was my favorite pick on draft day. Wanted him starting in the 4th. Was ecstatic when we got him. If not for the early injuries in camp these guys would already be playing even better than they are and who knows, maybe we would have had another win or two to boot. Future is so bright with this group right now and the McClay/Garrett/scouts/position coaches group seem to have hit another HR on draft day.

Yes, Probably another DB or 2 this draft. I'm still waiting to see Marquez White too.

It's been said Woods had the largest learning curve due to playing at LaTech but he's a player and should be ready to push for the starting job after an off season. UK said it best the other day, Heath is a modern day Bill Bates, valuable sub and special teams player but snaps on defense needs to be extremely limited
