Yeah, I saw this, and then saw a tweet from a guy who follows the team (Hoard, maybe? Can't remember).

Basically, they took 2 questions/answers that were 10 minutes a part and pushed them together to make it seem like a huge story about the balls being different.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

I can't believe he's getting so much pushback on this. I don't think what he said is controversial at all. Having white stripes on a football is going to give you a better perspective on how its moving. Having the ability to catch a heavily doctored football is also an advantage (remember that the NFL tries to keep a bunch of rules and regluations around how much a ball is inflated/deflated etc. Hello Tom!).... I didn't see this as him making an excuse as much as him just acknowledging that he has to get used to things being different.

he has difficulty catching it when he's double and triple covered. yea, that's not anything new, that's most receivers. if he's double covered it means someone else is probably open.

I know Higgins dropped 2 big ones, and easily catchable ones...I don't recall Chase, but I didn't see the entire game.

This was THE play of the game. Not only getting the 1st down. Not only getting the TD - but watching Chase scream past Mixon downfield to make the key block.

Then listening to Mixon tell everyone "That's his TD, that' his TD" pointing to Chase.

Chase: I'm like a TE...I'm like a TE...
