How complicated is it to change out a bow roller? I'm assuming I'll need to tie my boat down in the water in order to do it. I've never had to change one. Pulled the boat out this past weekend to wash it & tidy it up & noticed my bow roller had dry rotted, which leads me to the next question....when I purchase the new one, should I avoid the black rubber ones so I won't have to ever deal with dry rot again?

Thanks.

I’m guessing that’s why they are making them like this now. No idea but this is what I have on mine.

Weird. Wonder how new plastic rotted?

No. My old one that dry rotted was rubber. The yellow one is the new one I bought & put on to replace the dry rotted one.
