What would it take to pry him away from Seattle? Any interest from our side?

Been quietly keeping an eye on this. They would want our 1st and we'd have to drop a boatload for him. I would love it, but honestly this is a move you make when you're close.

This late in the game..... 4 days before the first game?? Let me say it would cost way too much and that screams of a panic move that will explode in our faces. If they were going to make a play like this it should have been two months ago in order to integrate him into our defense. A trade for him now would basically mean we give up no less than a second round pick for a guy who will be of no use to us until week five or six.

Short of a pickup of a player due to injury, we are at he point where the cards are dealt, and aside from the river flip we are stuck with the hand we were dealt.

Problem with Chancellor is that he is great in the Seahawks defense where his responsibilities consist of acting almost as a 4th linebacker due to Thomas covering such a large portion of the middle of the field.

What I'm getting at is, he's a big hitter and great against the run, but would struggle with the traditional coverage responsibilities of a strong safety.

I wouldn't give up what it would take to get him.

I was actually thinking long term since we have zero chance this year of a playoff spot. The concern is what the cost will be to get Seattle to blink. He would certainly be an upgrade to our secondary regardless of who is here now. Adding Chancellor to our team would make us better on defense.

For the long term, in that case I would say it would be worth looking into. But I still think he would cost us a 2nd rounder and a 3 year $20 million extension. And likely more than a second as the Hawks would have to eat a cap hit for trading him.

I see zero chance of this happening. Primarily because the Seahawks are not going to let him go and secondly because of cost.

If there is interest, maybe it won't cost a draft pick, maybe a player for player trade. Let's see, where are we relatively deep? Considering the Hawks are looking to win it all now, who do we have that can help them now? Dad, remember that list that you put up the other day about players and salaries next year? Reminder.....I said IF!!!

One thing is apparent about Kams holdout. This has definitely soured his relationship with key members in the Hawks front office, Pete Carrol for sure.

I don't see him leaving the Hawks this year but next year...
