would someone please explain to me what happened when bama roughed the kicker and osu declined the penalty so bama took over anyway. the dumbass announcers never did explain it.

They called it a 5 yard "running into the kicker." Urban thought it should have been a 15 yard "roughing the kicker," which would have given them a 1st down. Since they didn't get a 1st down, they liked the punt so they declined the penalty.

It did get like high school football out there for much of the last several minutes:
wasting time.
hoarding time outs for no reason
giving the ball back n forth.
not running out the clock when clearly you should
letting WR get behind you when up by two scores.
abandoning the run when down by only one score earlier in the game.

DB running the ball out of the end zone after THE GAME WAS OVER!!

These people do need logic coaches.

On at least 2 plays Alabama should have been spiked the ball to stop the clock.

They got two Hail Marys, which was probably the best case scenario at that point.

The bigger question is why they ran two plays at the start of the drive that failed to pick up a first down. When you are in the 2 minute drill, you should never throw the ball for less than 10, because you always want the clock to stop (either for an incompletion or to reset the chains). The start was where they fucked up the 2 minute drill, not the end.

I was also wondering if they were ever going to account for the QB draw with a 250 pound QB? Seemed like they got every third down and we couldn't get one from 3 yards out!!! Seems like if you hit your head enough you might try something different?

There was much more distance to get than time on the clock.
