Everyone name a "darkhorse" to make the college football playoff? I'm gonna widen the scope to and not make anyone dig too deep. So when I say darkhorse in this scenario I basically mean anyone but Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma. The reason I exclude those teams is they're all likely considered favorites for all of their remaining games and would likely make the CFP without much help if they did win out. (Obviously if they all won out then someone would be left out, but you know...)

Kentucky.

Get UGA at home, have the H2H win over UF should they need it. But will probably get smoked by Bama in the SECCG.

A three loss non division/conference champ is a bold pick.

Well, they got past Nebraska and Maryland, I figure they can slip past Rutgers and Indiana, too

If Oregon could win out, they might sneak in. But they would need help. Texas doesn't look like a playoff team to me. If NC State can pull a big upset, they could go undefeated. I haven't seen them play this year, but will be watching on Saturday.

I'd say Michigan.

West Virginia is possible...but doubtful

NC St is gonna get waxed by Clemson.

Winner of Georgia/Florida.

I wish but

2017: Clemson 38 NCST 31
2016: Clemson 24 NCST 17 OT
2015: Clemson 56 NCST 41
2014: Clemson 41 NCST 0
2013: Clemson 26 NCST 14
2012: Clemson 62 NCST 48
2011: Clemson 13 NCST 37

Its never easy and FSU should already know this. Ryan Finley is one of the top QBs going into the draft and started last year's game 15/15. Good thing for Clemson it's in the Valley and hopefully I can make it

Best chances for a darkhorse:
1. Michigan
2. Texas
3. Central Florida

I just can't see any plausible scenario for UCF

One of the reasons they would be rated a darkhorse. But an unbeaten UCF could possibly slip in past two-loss champs from the Pac-12 or Big 12. Depends on how good they look down the stretch. An unbeaten Cincinnati would be another longshot.

Right now, darkhorse would be, in order of darkest to less dark colored horse:

*UCF
*any Pac 12 team
*any Big 12 team
*any ACC team other than Clemson

I was going to say UCF but this pretty well sums it up.
