Game Thread: Celtics Hosting Knicks, 7:30 Pm, December 13,2013

Celtics come in 10-14, 2 1/2 games ahead of the Wooden Knickles, whom they beat by 41 points IN NEW YORK on Sunday.

Would be nice if Kelly Olynyk could play tonight, since Jared Sullinger, IMO, is better suited to PF than C though one can't fault his effort at either position.

Rumor has the Knickles trying to lure Tom Thibodeau away from Chicago to replace Mike Woodson. Here's hoping ex-Celtic assistant coach Thibs stays with the Bulls. The more frustrated New Yorkers get with any of their teams the happier I am.

During this season? I can't ever remember seeing a coach leave a team midseason to join another team. Thibs would look like a real prick if he did that.

I think Celtics fans should be somewhat fonder of Thibs than Doc. He's the one who designed that stifling defense which significantly helped the Celtics win in 2008. That was one of the best defensive teams I've ever seen. It was especially adept at minimizing superstar player's impacts (Lebron then Kobe).

Thibs does deserve some credit, and I wouldn't have objected if he had succeeded Rivers as Celtics coach,
but am glad he went somewhere other than New Dork City to get his first HeadCoach job.
