Carl Pelini is a good DC. That should be his comfort level. Carl Pelini is not a great DC, though.

Carl Pelini better than Mark Banker.

Carl Pelini better than Bob Diaco.

Carl Pelini better than John Papuchis.(yes, it was all Bo)

Carl Pelini better than Kevin Cosgrove.

Bo Pelini spread himself too thin at Nebraska by being head coach and DC. If Carl would have stayed longer at Nebraska we might have seen a different Nebraska these past six years, maybe a Nebraska that might have stayed ranked in the Top 25 at best. The defense would not have been as piss poor as it has been though.

Both Pelini's are hot heads.

Best of luck to him. He is making a fine living at being a football coach. Stressful? Yes. But he is making more money than I did in my lifetime.

i generally agree with HuskerinBig10. not entirely sure on the "past six years" part. CP wouldn't have changed much on Bo's recruiting, so he still would have been working with the same defensive players. i'm not sure what else he could have done. i guess maybe he could have come up with some better ideas instead of being Bo's puppet boy like JP was.
