Yes, he gets in. Randy Johnson and Steve Carlton are the only left handed pitchers with more strikeouts than CC.

Always been nothing but class...I would put him in for longevity. Difficult to throw that hard for that long and his stats aren't off the charts or anything...but shit they put other guys in way way worse than him. I think he deserves to get in.

Others shouldn't be even in the HOF...yet some got in on 1st ballot. Unbelievable at some of the guys that actually got in. So comparing him to others, he deserves it more than a lot of the guys already in.

Two wrongs don't make a right, the better question is will Kenny get in?

Really, really borderline case.

The writers love him though, so that may push him over.

Why is it a sad way to end a career? Everything ends badly. Otherwise it wouldn't end.

We should all be so lucky as to pitch for 19 years in the bigs and earn a quarter billion.

3000 + Strike outs, he is in...

Milestones, you may not be a fan of them but they are a thing... and they should be...

without the milestone, no, he wouldn't be a HOF... But he has it, so YES he deserves to make it...

From 2006-2012 he averaged nearly 230 innings per regular season with a 140 ERA+. That's fucking baller. The list of pitchers that have done that is not very long.

he crawled to the finish line, but his first 12 seasons are enough for me. He had a good run from 2006-12 and he was an absolute workhorse. that 31 game stretch in 2008 he had from April 22 to September 28 was one of the best runs I've ever seen from a pitcher (235 IP in 31 starts, 1.88 ERA, threw 7+ innings 24 times and 10 complete games)

which is impressive considering he only made 28 starts in 2006 and 2012

Justin Verlander will probably pass him in wins, but after that? Who gets to 250?

That's true. Also, all of my cars ended badly

Maybe Greinke. He's at 205 and he just had another great season. Velocity has been declining, but he seems to be doing just fine as a junkballer. christ, he's occasionally thrown changeups faster than his fastball.

Mike Mussina (fewer K's & fewer playoff W's) is in. CC's a lock for Cooperstown.

he also had a postseason ERA nearly a full run lower and a lower career ERA while pitching in the 90s

I voted no, but it honestly wouldn't bother me if he gets in. Classic compiler, not really superb at anything, but if they put Harold freaking Baines in the HOF, Sabathia can get in.
