CBS "cricket chirp"?

Anyone else notice this? Took me a few times hearing it to figure out what the hell it was, but every time the CBS crew would flip back to live action from a replay they would fire off a little noise that sounds like a cricket chirping. Annoying as fuck.

I heard it too... I first I thought it sounded like a woman screaming but after a couple of plays it sounds like an artificial sound.

It’s most likely to cue a visually impaired person when the action has gone from replay to live. That way, when they are listening, they understand when the announcers are calling a live action versus going over replay

can't say I noticed it, but that might be because I don't watch the games live anymore. I DVR them and then just FWD thru everything but the actual plays, maybe stopping to watch the occasional replay if I'm curious about something I saw.

only takes me about 20/25 minutes to watch a game now

But you don’t see it live

To me that kills all the hype
