Anyone else notice this? Took me a few times hearing it to figure out what the hell it was, but every time the CBS crew would flip back to live action from a replay they would fire off a little noise that sounds like a cricket chirping. Annoying as fuck.

can't say I noticed it, but that might be because I don't watch the games live anymore. I DVR them and then just FWD thru everything but the actual plays, maybe stopping to watch the occasional replay if I'm curious about something I saw.

only takes me about 20/25 minutes to watch a game now :D

Yes I noticed it too. First time I heard it I thought it was some sort of notification from my phone

I thought it was just the shrill voice of that Beth Mowens chick on ESPN. I'm all for sexual equality and all but her voice alone has upped my alcohol consumption.

I did notice, was initially annoyed, and grew to like it. I realized it meant the ball was about to be snapped. Pretty handy when I was in another room like the kitchen, and I would peek into the living room when I heard it.

Making lemonade out of lemons, I like it.

Agreed. Her voice was rough last night. Both Monday night crews were pretty awful to be fair.

AGREED! You make a big deal and hire a woman for a job that historically is held by a man, only to hire a woman that sounds, like a man? What am I missing here?

Yes. That chirping noise needs to stop. It's really annoying. My girlfriend doesn't hear it but I sure do!

That noise is coming from "their" signal.

If we can stop it ..we will finally expose them.

The theory my Uncle and I have come to is that since Tony Romo, retired quarter back for the Cowboys, has started commentating that it must be his phone notification. So turn it off Tony, ffs!

Has anyone found out why this noise is on their broadcast? I just heard during the LACH/BAL game and had to point it out to my gf, and she heard it as well. I do not like this sound.

Wonder what fucking idiot stood in the pre-season production meeting and said: "What if we add a chirp to the scorebug?"

Not bad, I'll watch Seahawks on my computer second screen and just mute it when announcers are blabbing without any action or whenever an advertisement comes on and browse the Internet on another monitor. I do like watching my team fully live.

For any other game that is a playoff game or Super Bowl I'm interested in, I'll DVR the first 2 hours, and then start watching. Usually to your point I can fast forward everything and then I'm in the 4th quarter live and can finish it out. I like to watch the game live at least with the ending... once the game is over there's no point in watching it... I just want to know who won.

Super Bowl I usually have to give 2.5 hours of DVR because of the retarded halftime show.

yeah, that's the tricky part for me...making sure I don't see a final score. I'm the same way. If I know the final score, then it's over. Win, lose or draw I don't want to watch it anymore.
