I missed this signing from a few days ago.
Kreiter has signed a one year deal with the Giants.
So long Iowa boy!
Always appreciate Casey's story.
He had just taken a teaching job here in Iowa City, thinking he wasn't going to get an NFL shot after he graduated... He was in a camp the year before.. (I want to say Dallas)... He thought it was over. Took the teaching job... Right before the school year started he got the call from Denver... Left Iowa City schools scrambling for a teacher..
I always felt like Kreiter did a good job here, but Denver never really seemed to be wanting to lock into him longer term. Kept signing one year deals and beating out competition every year. Denver had LS's in camp, once in awhile a LS on the PS, but always someone there to put pressure on him. (Not often do you see a LS fresh off a pro bowl feel heat like that) Here is to hoping he does well on the Giants... Class A person is Casey Kreiter... Very happy to see him sticking in the NFL. Met this dad after a game in Cincinnati once. Great family.
