After missing a birdie putt that gave Patrick Cantlay the win at the BMW Championship on Sunday, DeChambeau first gave his hat to a fan standing at the rope line before making his way back to the Caves Valley clubhouse.

That’s when — according to an ESPN.com report — another fan, who waited until DeChambeau had walked by but was still within earshot, jeered, “Great job, Brooksie!”

The 27-year-old furiously spun around and started to walk in the fan’s direction, yelling, “You know what? Get the f–k out!”

Instead of further escalating things, however, he motioned for a police offer to come over and deal with the heckler.

Only an asshole would say something like that; especially just after DeChambeau blew a tournament. I'm glad the PGA is cracking down on this but when you are an attention whore like DeChambeau is, always trying to get the spotlight on yourself, sometimes you are going to get negative attention instead of the type you crave.
