hmm. thought he would be a good guy to have for a run. Maybe he got an offer from another team? did he play bad? I didnt see anything from pre season yet

couldnt keep up ... groin injury didnt help ... would have liked to see him get one more chance playing with regulars

looks more and more like the PTO guys were purposefully brought in to be warm bodies for the early preseason games so the veteran regulars could get extra rest and practice on systems play

This kind of upset me. I was under the impression that he was doing well in camp. He'd certainly be valuable to the younger guys. Give the guy another chance!

From the games that I saw, he looked really slow. There's no way the Nucks could have had a guy like that out there for more than 6-8 minutes a game. At that point they are better off letting a young guy take that role and see where he can run with it.

IMO, the Nucks are in a good spot to start integrating a little bit of youth into their lineup.

he wasn't awful, but he didn't stand out against competition (and among linemates) that he really should have been able to dominate.
If it's a choice between Steve Pinnizotto (or Mike Duco, or Aaron Volpatti) and Owen Nolan, you shouldn't really have to think about it too much if Owen has gas in the tank.

hope he lands elsewhere, he handled himself very professionally here (signed autographs and posed for pictures for fans very shortly after being cut). we are just too deep.

makes me wonder why a guy like Pinnizotto signed here as well - apparently he had offers form nine different teams.

Boo Just another reason to hate the Canucks ;) God I want to play you guys in the playoffs again. Those are the best series.
