The Patriots are 8-0 so far in 2019.

If the Patriots offense had not scored a single point their record would be 4-2-2.

People may not think this Patriots' defense is very good, but considering they could beat three NFL opponents and tie two, without any help from the offense is damn impressive.

That is fucking hilarious.

The Ravens should be a pretty good test for our defense to see where they truly stand.

Well based on the teams we have played to date nothing surprises me. I am so not ready to get over hyped about this team when they have played one decent team.

... im more confident they’ll hit the playoffs by this time than last year ... and look what happened then?

seriously, they need an O line quick ... I haven’t seen a game without Brady hopping around on those old knees for a good chunk of plays ... and the running game can’t get going ...

has there been an easier first-half schedule for the pats in the BB/Brady era?

Perhaps the DL can also take over for the OL

I was hyped.

Watching them play matador with the Browns has taken some of the shine off.....

True but rainy weather benefits the RB they know the cut they are about to make Defense has to assume and it makes it more difficult getting the plant foot set.

Added to that, in slick whether RBs run a bit harder since they know they can pull out of tackles due to the slickness created by the rain. They go down quicker in dry conditions to protect themselves. Why? Because it's not worth the risk when then odds of ripping through tacks are low.

Just a random thought on Thanksgiving Day.

Ate my Thanksgiving dinner about a half hour ago and my wife and I were discussing this year's High school game that I attended This morning. The weather today was 40 degrees with a steady 35-40 mph wind. It was cold and just a bit uncomfortable. My grandson stood on the sidelines like he has all year and watched his final high school game without pads wearing his varsity shirt with the number 12 which he's worn on every team since he was 5. Then the conversation turned to how nice the weather was this year compared to last year when the Turkey Day game had to be scheduled for Thanksgiving Eve because the weather was predicted to be in single digits on Thanksgiving Day and we had about 18" of snow on the ground. The game was played in 15-degree temps. in a blizzard. The chill factor was about -5. WE won last year 28-21 and we won today 14-0.

My thoughts turned to the Patriots last year and about other teams last year......

The Los Angeles Rams. They went through the NFC like a hot knife through soft butter. Their offense was scoring 40+ points a game and their defense wasn't allowing much of anything.

The Kansas City Chiefs.....They stumbled against the Chargers and Patriots in the regulars season but te Pats beat them on a late FG after the Chiefs had come back and taken the lead after being swamped in the first half.

The Patriots beat the Chiefs in OT in the AFCCG at KC.
The Patriots stopped the Rams dead cold in the Super Bowl.

Fast forward 10 months and the Patriots are 10-1 yet every prognosticator says that they will not beat the Ravens or get close to the Super Bowl................

Then I think about 2018 all over again.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. May your day be blessed with more to be thankful for.
