Also, I think most of us agree that mocks (while they can be helpful and give you a general idea of where certain players you want to target may fall) are pretty much just that, practice. However, I have yet to mock a team that looks strong when taking Jimmy in the first round, no matter what position I take him in.
Well, so far I'm pretty happy with the teams I've drafted. I'm more worried about the keeper I draft in a week. Keepers are Foster and Martin. Also traded my 6th and 7th round picks last year and it's gonna bite me in the ass this year.
In our Suicide League draft Cam in the 9th I think and that was great value IMO but now wondering if he will be a bust this year. Felt great about backing him up with Big Bendover.............of course I didn't notice they both have the same bye (rookie mistake)...........then again I wanted Ben so fuck it, I'll not be having a QB week 12.
In the Keepers of the Flame draft I went Murray/Foster and IMO lucked out and was able to draft a decent stable of receivers (VJax, Andre, DJax, Edleman and Decker)..........kinda wonder how it would have turned out if I would have taken WR at 15.....................probably would have been scrambling for RB like a lot of us were.
I have also not seen a strong team that hasnt drafted a rb in the first two round
I know most of your feelings on QBs early, but what about TEs not named Graham. As far as the mocks, I did 100 or so before my draft- 95 percent of the time either Gronk or Thomas fell to my pick at 30. They both went before 23.
TE is the same as QB. You better get a good value if that is the path you take. Thomas or Gronk in the top 30 are not good values.
QB- Romo
RB- Gerhart
RB- Jennings
WR- D. Thomas
WR- D. Bryant
Flex- Harvin
TE- L. Green
DST- Cincy
K- Dawson
B- L. Miller, Hopkins, M. Ingram, Blount, Dunbar
This is my MBBRL team. All the RBs I wanted were gone in the first round, but I think I did okay. I hate the 12th pick in this league because the best values were never going to be RBs. Given the short benches though, there will be some potential waiver pickups who emerge as the season goes forward. While I don't think my team is among the best right now, I think I have a good chance to be there in the end.
So I did OK taking Reed Pitta fairly late?

Let me rephrase, you said you think u did ok. Do u feel strong? Like a reAl good teAm?
See, but in MBBRL A league, there aren't any strong, really good teams because everybody drafts well. Some may look slightly better than others today, but it is really close.
