Can someone explain the appeal of Fergie to me?

I get that mainstream pop music is catered to the lowest common denominator, but even so, I can't figure out for the life of me how anyone can stand, let alone actually enjoy Fergie. Her songs are all obnoxious. In her most recent radio hit, she just makes annoying "ah-la-la-la-la" noises while chanting out random world locations in fake accents, like she is somehow "representing" all of those places. Seriously, what is there to like about this chick's music?
