Yeah, I liked a lot of what I saw. I really like the pace they played at. They were among the league leaders in fast break points last season at around 17 a game and had 34 fast break points last night.

The perimeter defense looked okay for most of the game, but if a guy gets beat on the perimeter, there's literally no rim protection unless McGee is in and even then, if he's away from the basket, it's tough to get back.

A lot of the game, they looked like a team that hasn't played together a whole lot, especially after about the first 9 or 10 minutes when Luke started subbing guys in.

I thought Lonzo's form looked a little better and his release was quicker, but the results weren't there. Hopefully, that will change as the season moves on and everything settles.

They gave up 130 pts.
Thats far from looking good

Team defense and rotations will definitely take some time with so many changes to the roster. The preseason is so short these days that teams with considerable turnover during the offseason will be behind for a few weeks at least.

I’m just talking about the game I saw the other night that was a 2 pt game late. Pretty sure Westbrook can overcome that at a pretty good clip.
Sure he can. I'm also sure that there's a different strategy when a team is playing against top guys vs. 2nd or 3rd string guys. Which I'm also sure is common sense.

They won't be as inexperienced this time around. No one wins their first time in the playoffs. You need a year or two of playoff seasoning (just like the Ws did). They also have the best coach in basketball. It's gonna be a good Finals.
I hope it goes that way. The concern for me is the depth of the Celtics. If all are healthy, there will be no let up during the game. Can't have any of those "coast through the first half and turn it on in the 3rd quarter" games the Warriors had last year.

They're not that inexperienced at all
They definitely showed it last year in the Eastern Finals and they definitely were inexperienced. I stand by that statement.

Point totals mean nothing without looking at pace of play.

This was the biggest knock on the Warriors for years until people realized they were actually good defensively. PPG doesn't mean anything when it comes to pace.

So are you picking the Celtics to beat the Warriors right now or are you going to wait until the Warriors go on a 2 game losing streak to predict it?

I'm hoping the Warriors beat the Celtics in the Finals.

Kyrie Irving who been to several NBA finals was unavailable.

The fact they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals and a game 7 without 2 of their top 3 players was simply amazing

Yes it was. That does not change the fact that they lacked experience and it showed big time in the series against the Cavs; especially game 7.

I didn't realize that McCaw was holding out. Not a good sign for the boy.

Oh i know the warriors are good enough to thoroughly evaluate who they are playing and give just the right amount of effort. They have an inside source that knew thst the thunder wouldn’t make a shot the last 3 minutes.

The Glass Man won't be playing again tonight. Maybe we'll get to see a little of Evans.

Not really.

They played without Hayward all season long and were the 2 seed. They beat a flawed Bucks team, a super young and not ready 6er team, and lost to a seriously flawed Cav team.

I am not sure when the last time the East was weaker than it was last May.

No one can even beat them without Cousins this year. Nevermind when he finally starts playing. An unfairly stacked team that got even MORE stacked. Ridiculous.
