I wouldn't be surprised at all if they didn't sign amyone. Henderson had 450 rushing ysrds thr first six games last year. And they are high on Xavier Jones and Funk

Trading with the Patriots was the most likely outcome. The Patriots weren't in a rush and the Rams weren't prepared to pay a silly price to get it done quickly. It's a good result for both teams and player.

Now that it's a guarenteed 4th and 6th I really like this deal for NE. Sony would've been released after the season for nothing. NE didn't give him his 5th year. They weren't going to resign him.

Michel will do well for you guys. Then you'll be faced with paying him to run along with Akers. Or just have rented him for a season.

It's strictly a rental at this point. He's a $2.5-3M player with a $1.8M price tag this season. He'll have the opportunity to boost his value as a #1 RB. Henderson hasn't shown blocking or receiving skills in his 2 pro years and he hasn't stayed healthy either. The other Rams RBs have very low ceilings. RB will be a Draft need for the Rams in 2022, but then it should have been in 2021. I don't think anyone knows if Akers will ever be 100% again.

The pros are his price tag and his running ability. You'll enjoy watching him run for you, not against you now. His receiving skills seemed to improve tjis offseason.

The knock is two picks for an injury bug rental. Hope he stays healthy for you. His blocking is suspect, but most times at least he'll get his body in the way.
