"Retired" lol... love it.

Apparently when draft busts run out of chances they "retire".

I'd like to take this opportunity to announce my retirement from the NFL... :suds:

Exactly.

I can't think of a specific guy right off the top of my head, but it seems like there's been several guys over the last few years to "retire" at a younger age, only to be back in the league the next season.

Any media monkeys lose their jobs today? The "can't miss player of the draft" retires after busting, but for the talking heads, it's business as usual. Can't wait to hear who the can't miss player is next year.

So it's safe to say Curry wasn't the "safest" pick? (Sonufa....)

For what it is worth, the ONLY reason anyone wanted Jason Smith is because dumb ass Bill Parcell's took Jake Long over Matt Ryan the year before. Had he taken Ryan like he should have, Parcell's career would not have fizzled out as fast as it did, and Lions fans would have collectively been BEGGING for Matthew Stafford. But they saw "genius Bill" take a LT over a franchise QB and Lions fans just had to have one of their own. Blame the usual media monkey hype for their love of Curry, the "can't miss player of the draft!" lol

And you guys wonder why I shit all over media links.

Never have got why you think They screwed up so bad when they skipped over him.

Or why I quote shot from 3 years ago.

Ryan is not that impressive. He has good receiving core and a run game this year. He has been terrible the last few years. He would prolly look worse in Miami.

I believe that Rob is right in what he's saying on why, ( everybody thinks it should be done Billichecks way now) just don't agree on Matty Ice thoughts. He still would have fizzled out. Matt is not good. He sure as hell ain't carrying the Falcons anywhere.

Saints release Jason Smith

The Saints brought in Smith to push Charles Brown for the starting job on Drew Brees' blindside. It never happened. Third-round rookie Terron Armstead will serve as Brown's backup, as Smith heads back to the street. The No. 2 overall pick of the Rams in the 2009 draft has now been cut by two teams in the last six months. Smith is one of the biggest busts in the history of the league.

Dear friends and allies -

Bragging time. Not only did I correctly predict Stafford would be the no.1 overall pick by the Lions (and Delmas in the 2nd round but I digress), I said Jason Smith would be a total bust in the NFL, based on the extreme lack of success of Big 12 spread offense LT's in the NFL previous to that year. This was of course met with violent retort from some (not all) but most Lions fans.

And yet today, here we are.
I'll be back when Peyton Manning throws that next playoff exit INT. :yahoo:

Until then -

I admit you wanted Curry.
I also admitted that. It isn't a gotcha when all sides agree.

It is alarming that I have aspergers and seem to grasp the basics of communication better than you do.
